Duelist is a Basic Training featured in Call of Duty: WWII.
Duelist is a very situational Basic Training; it only affects the player's pistol , instead of the player themselves. Duelist can greatly increase a player's close quarters capabilities, as damage output is essentially doubled. The two pistols that can kill in two shots, the 1911 and Enfield No. 2 , can instantly kill an enemy should the player fire off both pistols and both bullets hit in close quarters. Steady Aim is recommended to reduce the hipfire spread of the pistols, especially during rapid fire, as well being unlocked very early at weapon level 3. Extended Mags can be viable to give players more ammo in a magazine due to the increased ammo consumption and reduced accuracy, but may not be worth the trade-off of not using steady aim, as well as being a late unlock. However, coupling steady aim and extended mags by using the Infantry Division is a strong combination.
This does not stack with the Tactical Knife attachment; if both are used, Duelist will override the attachment and renders it useless, wasting an attachment slot.
Previously, this removed the fire cap of the semi-automatic pistols.

- During the Call of Duty: WWII Multiplayer Closed Beta, Duelist allowed the player to take two attachments on their pistol (as pistols could not accept attachments without this basic training), and Akimbo was an attachment that could be unlocked.
