Earth is a planet in the Solar System that appears as the primary setting in all Call of Duty games.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare[]
- "Seat of the UNSA and home to the majority of the solar system's population. Also the primary client of mining and industrial operations system-wide. Despite terraforming efforts on Mars, this remains the only planet hospitable to life."
- — Description
In Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Earth is the primary seat of the United Nations Space Alliance's power, as well as the source of most of the Solar System's population. It appears within the Earth Cluster.
By the time of Infinite Warfare, Earth has been stripped of most of its natural resources, suffering from peak oil and climate crisis. While there were efforts to utilise the energy of the Sun to power Earth, this was insufficient given currently available solar energy collection technologies. This prompted the colonisation of other worlds within the solar system, as they could send fuel back to Earth to maintain its geoengineered climate.
Earth's planetary defence system was hijacked by an SDF sleeper agent during the annual Fleet Week Parade in Geneva, destroying the SATO fleet.
Earth-bound nations that make up the UNSA include Canada, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Ireland, Japan, Lebanon, Mexico, Colombia, Nigeria, Norway, Sweden, China, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, , the United Kingdom, Australia, and the United States.
