Emblems (also referred to as Patches or Stickers) are a player customization option for the Playercard that appears in every Call of Duty game since Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Emblems take the form of an image on a player's nameplate when that player's name is shown in-game. Emblems are often paired with Calling Cards to form the whole of an individual's playercard. Emblems are earned through completing challenges and general progression, external promotions, microtransactions and supply drops or bought through in-game currencies. Customized emblems can also be created using predetermined shapes in an Emblem Editor when available. Emblems were once exclusively available in the multiplayers of the respective games, but have since been included in other modes such as the campaigns and Zombies modes.
