Dirty Battalion was originally the first mission of the beta Call of Duty Online. The mission was supposed to be the tutorial level in which the player would learn basic controls with the help of John Price, Tiny Man, Newcastle and Mac. The mission was removed and changed for the mission Identity Unknown.
