The VTOL Drone is an aircraft that appears in Call of Duty: Black Ops III. It first appears in mission Black Ops.

Overview[]

The drone is an unmanned VTOL transport aircraft that is used for the deployment of packages and equipment. While often used to carry material, it can be used to transport people as well, as shown in the mission Black Ops were the protagonists attempt to escape in an exfil pod. The rear section of the craft allows it to fit different modules underneath it, sometimes supported from hooks.

The drone also appears in Multiplayer, where it will supply care packages or deploy scorestreaks such as R.A.P.S. from a specialised module.

The drone does not carry any weapons, though writing on the side of the craft near the front indicates that it can be equipped with weapon hardpoints.

Though the drone does not usually carry weapons, it is apparently capable of doing so; writing on the side of the craft near the front stub wings indicates that it can be equipped with weapon hardpoints and during the mission Black Ops, a drone carries a rocket pod on each of its stub wings, which it uses to provide fire support to Jacob Hendrick's team.
