"Down the ramp! Move out! Go, go, go!"
— Volker

Lieutenant Volker was the crew chief on a CH-46 Sea Knight helicopter, Outlaw 2-5, seen in the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare mission "Shock and Awe".

Biography[]

During the events of "Shock and Awe", Volker assisted Vasquez's unit on and off Outlaw 2-5 from its rear ramp, covering them with an M9 pistol each time. After the unit rescued an advanced reconnaissance team and reembarked 2-5, all Marine forces were instructed to retreat from the capital city due to a suspected nuclear bomb. As 2-5 was escaping the city, its AH-1 Cobra escort, Deadly, was hit in the tail rotor by an FIM-92 Stinger and crash landed. Upon spotting MP5 fire coming from Deadly's cockpit, 2-5 landed nearby and the Force Recon marines including Paul Jackson rescued the pilot, Pelayo. Because of the time spent rescuing Pelayo, the Sea Knight was in range of the EMP and shockwave from the nuclear bomb's detonation. This caused the helicopter to spin uncontrollably, and Volker was hurled out of the helicopter by the centripetal forces. He was one of the 30,000 Marines killed by the nuke.
