Fireworks is one of the Main Quests for the Call of Duty: WWII Nazi Zombies map The Final Reich. It tasks Raven Squad to retrieve the artefact hidden within Mittelburg.
Step 1[]
Upon arriving in the Village Square, the door leading into the Command Room is locked due to a lack of power running to it. The generator for this door alongside most doors with wiring connecting to the lock is located within the hole that is situated just outside the Command Room door but blocked off by waist high barricades and wooden grating around it. Nearby there is a gas pump with three connecting valves, these valves are located behind the Geistschild machine, to the left of the Command Room door and a bit further along after the Riverside door.
With all three valves activated, the pilot light for the Well Trap that is situated over the hole can be activated. Doing so will cause a fiery explosion to remove all the barricades and grating alongside causing six Pests to crawl out of the hole, also on fire. The generator can be located near the exit from the Tunnel to the Village Centre, activating it will allow any powered doors to become purchasable. Including the ones leading into the Command Room or Morgue.
Step 2[]
Much like the outside, the Bunker is not fully powered as while most of the Bunker can be accessed, the door to the Salt Mine has insufficient power to be unlocked. In front of it however is a crank for the Geistkraft Transfer Device to be able to move between the Salt Mine and the Command Room. Whilst it can be done later, the device canopy can be opened at this point which is located in front of the Salt Mine door. To route enough power to the Salt Mine door, two additional power switches need to be activated within a small timeframe. These power switches showcase the time left on them and can be found within the the Morgue behind the STG44 Weapon Locker and within the Laboratory just right of the nearby Geistschild machine. When both of these are activated in a succinct amount of time, the Salt Mine door become available to be purchased.
Step 3[]
Within the Salt Mine Tunnels leads to the location where the artefact is, alongside four Bombers. Upon entering the Emperor's Chamber, the artefact is revealed to be the Hilt of the sword that Frederick Barbarossa once used. Simply floating above a pillar which has been surrounded with tech and the Geistkraft Transfer Device is now above. Interacting with the hilt will cause the Geistkraft Transfer Device to reactivate and start to charge from nearby deaths of zombies, taking 10 kills to charge the device. The device will rise back up into the Command Room unless the device canopy hasn't been opened, to which it is required at this point.
With the Geistkraft Transfer Device within the Command Room, the lights within the Bunker will shut off until the weapon forging has been completed. Activating the forge on the raised platform within the Command Room will set the Geistkraft Transfer Device to move towards the Laboratory, potentially stopping a total of three times. With each stop requiring five kills to charge the device, these kills can be done whilst the device is moving to prevent the device from stopping. During the escort, one of two Wüstlings can be awoken from their slumber in their storage tubes, the one beside the Schnellblitz machine or the one beside the machine that crafts the Tesla Gun Barrel. When the Geistkraft Transfer Device makes it to the machine, it'll take a short while to craft the Tesla Gun Barrel.
Upon picking up the Tesla Gun Barrel, the Geistkraft Transfer Device will return to the Command Room before starting its treck to the Morgue. Once following the same structure as prior, potentially stopping a total of three times and requiring a total of 5 kills per each of these stops with kills whilst in motion counting towards these. And much like prior, upon the Geistkraft Transfer Device making it to the machine, it'll take a short while for the machine to craft the Tesla Gun Core. The Geistkraft Transfer Device has one final stop in the Command Room.
However, after the completion of the Tesla Gun core and returning to the Command Room or remaining away from in for a short time, a Brenner will spawn upon the Weapon Assembly Station and igniting the area in flame before jumping down to face Raven Squad. Upon the death of this Brenner, it'll drop its head which is utilised in some later steps. If the Geistkraft Transfer Device has reached the Weapon Assembly Station, the barrel and core can be added to the incomplete Tesla Gun on the station and be crafted into the base variant which can be picked up at anytime.
Step 4[]
With the Tesla Gun crafted, the Right Hand of God within the Emperor's Chamber can be examined, doing so will have it be noted that it requires additional geistkraft energy to be rerouted to it. A panel within the Command Room can allow this, by rerouting a set of four power switches that connect from the Command Room to the lightning rods within the Tower section. Activating this panel will activate the four switches with the panel itself showcasing a set of randomised colours in red, blue and green. Each specific switch needs to be swapped to the correct colour that is indicated on the panel and by the number that is indicated on the power switch itself. Power switch 1 is located to the right of the panel itself, Power switch 2 is located just outside the door from the Morgue into the Sewer, Power switch 3 is located within the tunnel that leads from the Sewer into Riverside and Power switch 4 is beside the door leading into the Tower. When one is correctly calibrated to the colour selected for it, it'll produce a electrical discharge sound after a small delay. Failing to complete the connection simply requires the original panel to be pressed once more to try again with the same original colour pattern.
Step 5[]
Lacking in geistkraft energy, the next best thing is to setup the lightning rod tower to give the additional energy that the Right Hand of God requires. Activating the lightning rod will start a small defence section where the central lightning rod must be defended whilst it is lifted into placey. During this time, rounds will automatically proceed without the need of all zombies to be killed. If the lightning rod is destroyed, the lightning rod simply needs to be activated once again and the defence section is restarted from the beginning. Upon completion, the secondary lightning rods also need to be raised into position. Activating them both starts a defence section similar to the prior but with the defence split between the two secondary lightning rods. Much like the prior one, rounds will automatically progress without the need for all zombies to be killed and if a lightning rod is damaged beyond repair, activating both of them again will restart the defence. With the raising of the secondary lightning rods, after a short bit a massive lightning strike will hit the tower and kill any standard zombies, Pest and Bombers whilst wounding and stunning any Wüstling and Brenners in the area, while Raven Squad is given a slow down affect and temporarily electrifying the HUD. With this, the Right Hand of God can be activated.
Step 6[]
With the Right Hand of God activated, the Left Hand of God needs to also be activated. However before this can be achieved, a commotion in the village happens, a zeppelin piloted by Heinz Richter arrives above the village and starts assaulting Raven Squad with geistkraft weaponry. Each attack however reveals a weak point within the construction of the weaponry and firing upon this weak point will eventually drop a large geistkraft battery into the map. The first one will land within the Village Square and much like other geistkraft items, will require energy from zombies to be charged. Upon being fully charged, it'll explode and drop an Überschnalle. This Überschnalle can be picked up and carried to the Left Hand of God to give it power, however whilst holding it, the person holding it will be unable to fire weaponry and have slightly reduced movement speed.
After the Überschnalle is attached to the Left Hand of God, a wave will need to be completed before Heinz will return to allow another Überschnalle to be obtained. The same process will need to be repeated as before, with the device landing near the gas valve in Riverside. And like before, one more wave will need to be completed to have the zeppelin to return, but on arriving to where the battery has dropped into the Village Square, Heinz will magnetize it up back to the zeppelin, requiring one more round of damaging before it'll drop another battery. The final battery will drop in Riverside near the entrance to the Pub and the process needs to be repeated one final time.
Step 7[]
The final piece of the mechanism remains, the recalibration of the Voice of God. The recalibration is done by changing four pipes with the sigils of the Raven Lords, starting from the Right Hand of God, the Bloodraven, Moonraven, Deathraven and the Stormraven are marked. The Voice of God also requires a number for each of these pipes, both of these can be located on four paintings on the map. The four paintings are located in the Morgue a little after the door from the Sewer, the Sewer near to the door to Riverside, within the Courtyard and within the Pub. Aiming the Brenner Head on these paintings will showcase one of the sigils of the Raven Lords alongside a Roman numeral, these are to be input into the Voice of God before interacting with it to finalise the calibration. In an incorrect calibration is inserted, the machine will go into a temporary cooldown, where the pipes can be swapped but the actual mechanism cannot be interacted with. It will become interactable after enough time has passed.
Step 8[]
Upon activating the Voice of God, the four sigils around the pillar that the hilt floats above will start to glow and the area will be engulfed by the sound produced by the Voice of God. At this point, shooting the Hilt of Barbarossa with coordinated shots with the standard Tesla Gun will lock out other objectives within the map, relating to the other Main Quest called Dark Reunion.
If not, doing so will free the hilt from the gravity field that was containing it and allow it to be taken. Grabbing it will have Raven Team flee back to the surface of Mittelburg and meet the fate of Klaus Fischer, alive but intertwined with the monster called the Panzermörder.
During the battle, the map will be restricted to a small circular path around the topside of Mittelburg with the M30 Luftwaffe Drilling, Machine Pistol, Type 100 Weapon Lockers, the Lebenblitz machine and Geistschild machine being available. Similar to the Left Hand of God, Heinz Richter will be circling above Mittleburg in his zeppelin and much like said step, must have the geistkraft weaponry damaged enough to have an Überschnalle fall into Mittleburg. Like the other Überschnalles, it must be filled with the geistkraft energy of zombies before the portable Überschnalle is revealed, however unlike the Left Hand of God, the Überschnalle needs to be strapped onto the Panzermörder. After dealing enough damage to the Panzermörder, it will stop moving for a moment and take a knee, during this time the Überschnalle can be taken and be placed onto it by interacting with it while holding the Überschnalle.
Much like the Left Hand of God, both Heinz and the Panzermörder will retreat after each Überschnalle is attached and will return after a wave is concluded or enough time has passed. The Panzermörder is also not to be underestimated, as it always deals 1 spirit shield worth of Geistschild damage, regardless of how much health the player has.
After the destruction of the fourth weapon on Heinz's zeppelin and the third Überschnalle is placed on the Panzermörder, a cutscene will play showcasing the Panzermörder being lifted to the zeppelin much like the Überschnalle, to which the Panzermörder causes the destruction of the zeppelin and itself with the debris landing outside of Mittleburg with Raven Squad looking on. They are then returned to the standard version of Mittleburg with the Hilt of Barbarossa in hand and standing by the corpse of the now freed Klaus Fischer.
