The German Flammenwerfer 35 uses compressed nitrogen to propel flaming liquid fuel as far as 33 yards. Though Flammenwerfer teams were extremely vulnerable in the field and had to be well-protected from enemy fire, the weapon was devastatingly effective, especially when used for flushing out infantry from bunker or entrenchment.

Call of Duty United Offensive

The Flammenwerfer 35 first appeared in Call of Duty: United Offensive, and it was not used often, but was a great weapon for flushing out enemies. This weapon is only used by German soldiers, and you could only get this weapons by killing one (not counting the "give all" cheat). When equipped, the weapon is simply named "Flamethrower".

Call of Duty World at War

The Flammenwerfer is seen throughout the Red Army Campaign levels used by German soldiers, especially in the levels "Vendetta", "Heart of the Reich", and "Downfall". Like any other flamethrower, shooting at the gas tank will cause it to explode, incinerating the soldier using the flamethrower and any surrounding soldiers. The Flammenwerfer in the game uses the same model and has the same statistics as the M2 Flamethrower.

Trivia

  • In World at War the Flammenwerfer 35 is a model of the M2 Flamethrower
  • In the glitch of Vendetta, one can obtain a flamethrower from a German enemy. Normally, it would be a Flammenwerfer 35, but the flamethrower is an M2 Flamethrower. Treyarch didn't add files concerning the Flammenwerfer 35.
