The Flashlight is a campaign exclusive pistol attachment in Call of Duty: Black Ops and an exclusive equipment in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. It is seen being used by Alex Mason and Viktor Reznov in the mission "Victor Charlie" on the Python and in "Project Nova" on the Tokarev TT-33, respectively. The Flashlight is held in the "Harries Technique", similar to the manner with which the Tactical Knife is held, but the player reloads with only one hand. In Advanced Warfare, it is seen being used by Jack Mitchell and Gideon in the mission "Aftermath" on their weapons.
In Black Ops, the Flashlight can be turned on and off by pressing the "sprint" button, as actual sprinting is disabled in the tunnels and the shipwreck. If the attachment is obtained with the console command "give all" in sections of the relevant mission when it is not normally available, the player will notice that the Flashlight does not restrict sprinting, but there is no sprinting animation and the player simply speeds up. The slide of the Tokarev TT-33 when out of ammunition will lock back, but if the TT-33 is paired with the flashlight, it will not.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare[]
The Flashlight was cut from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019). It would've appeared as an Equipment. However, a helmet-mounted flashlight is used during the campaign mission "Fog of War".
