So I was contacted awhile ago via Twitter by a Youtuber named TheJFKGamer, he is a Call of Duty Youtuber with 175,000+ subscribers. We've worked with him in the past so that he could create Call of Duty History videos that went into the stories and backstories of the various Call of Duty games. He contacted me because he is working on and directing a Zombies fan film, titled "115", with over 30 other popular youtubers, including Drift0r and SmithPlays. He was curious about wether or not we could create a mainspace page for "115". I told him that while it is normally against our policies to include fanon content, we have made exceptions in the past, such as with Find Makarov and that I would look into it.

Now, I know that per COD:NOT we do not normally allow fanon content on the wiki, but Jordans passion for the project, as well as the quality of work being put into it, makes me feel as if it deserves it's own article. It is not random fanon based on the Call of Duty wiki, it is a project which has had hard work and true passion put into it by fans of Call of Duty and Zombies, for fans of Call of Duty and Zombies. Thus, I feel like we should give it it's own article, just like with Find Makarov.

It will be nice to get a little bit more variety on the mainspace, it will give Jordan and his project some exposure, and Jordan will be giving us exposure as well. I see no reason why 115 wouldn't deserve it's own page.

For further reference, Jordan has a few teasers for the film up as well as an INDIEGOGO promo:

DiscussionEdit

The discussion we had on another forum is pretty barebones, but it seems the general consensus was that because Operation Kingfish was produced in part by Activision, we allowed it and a page for the original fan produced video to have pages, so we might want to wait and see what kind of reaction "115" drums up first. I'd be alright with it once the project is completed. I'd rather not have it prior to release as unlike an unfinished or cut game that was meant to be released with all the copyright and stuff, like the CoD card game thing. Until it's complete I think it's still a full on fan project that we can't consider with canon, even if it has backing. 21:40, November 2, 2015 (UTC)
Per Sam and CoaZ; also, since it's not yet released we wouldn't be able to put much info onto the page -- unless of course JFKGamer were to grant us all the info and/or images and stuff. Though, that would mean his work would be viewable before it's done and that doesn't exactly make sense for him nor for us since the article relates to a video that's not out. I'd go with it. The film seems like it will be really good. bionicle__unity_duty_destiny_by_cyberpictures-d6p3li2.pngLegos-Rule-15 Talk 03:02, November 9, 2015 (UTC)

i was considering saying yes, but now i think it might be best to see if activison backs it. if they do, then yes. if they dont, then probably no. Most wikis have a significance rule, where if the project is significant or popular enough that people will want to look it up to learn more, then it should have an article. Bioniclepluslotr 21:04, November 12, 2015 (UTC)

Not to sound overly rude. But I have no idea about this project, so I don't know if it's backed or whatever, but this forum hasn't been touched by Damac since, so unless I hear more from him, I'm going to have to close this forum down to inactivity and not create the page. If Damac gets back with more info than it's fine, but right now this project is still a bit too unknown for us to make a page for it (furthermore, I feel Damac is the only one that could make a page for it). 20:48, December 10, 2015 (UTC)

Judging from a variety of videos by JohnyJ25[1] the project is a "fan made Zombies film created by fans, for fans" and "has no funding [or other associations] with Activision in any way". SteveHeist (talk) 22:00, December 10, 2015 (UTC)

Closed - Since nothing has arisen in regards to this being activision funded to related, and this appearing to be solely for fans by fans, we won't be making a page. Should new information arise showcasing this to have any form of Acti backing, then it's free for a reopening. 08:58, December 24, 2015 (UTC)
