Someone needs to clear out the Articles of Deletion page. There's a huge backlog that's a month old (and older for some), and additionally many AfDs that took place in the past few months were archived without being closed. We need admins to make a judgement call based on discussion to keep or delete the articles. If an AfD is closed, a message stating the decision should be made before archiving it, allowing it to be seen by editors before it is shelved. Pages that have failed an AfD should have the delete template removed.
I know it's not my place to tell admins what to do, but the AfD page and process is a mess and it seems no one's doing anything to clean it up. There's no point in keeping the AfD process is no one is going to take over it. --Scottie theNerd 08:08, May 4, 2010 (UTC)
