So something I've been noticing a lot on the pages and fixing (my contributions page is all you need to see for proof) is the "You"; located on 98% of the pages. An easy way to help is to simply click the Random Page button, "Ctrl+F", and type in 'you'. It's bound to show up with at least SIX uses per page,Predator Missile , for example, had 9. (Of course, there are still those annoying Wiki ads that have YOU on them.) Good hunting. Major Blackout 14:27, March 20, 2011 (UTC)

And this makes sense because? --Personal Cakemix Signature 20:59, March 20, 2011 (UTC)

I think he just wanted to spotlight the "you" problem, but I really don't think 98% of pages have "you". I'd say more like 1-5%. Black Ops Official logoPoketape Talk 21:48, March 20, 2011 (UTC)

Here's a rough list of the you's in article space. bibliomaniac15 00:48, March 21, 2011 (UTC)
I agree with the last one on this --Personal Cakemix Signature 10:13, March 21, 2011 (UTC)
Some of those you's are part of quotes. LITE992 00:52, March 21, 2011 (UTC)
I went on a impersonal "you"s campaign quite some time ago and one admin who is now inactive, scoffed at the idea. Undeterred I plodded on, and on, and on. I finally gave up as I finally realized why he scoffed at my efforts, as soon as you fix everything and get rid of the impersonal yous along comes another user and adds more for you to fix. I'm not saying not to do it and you should. It will give you tons of work and it will never stop. I just found other things to do. Personal WHISKEY35 signature Talk 01:10, March 21, 2011 (UTC)
True that Whiskey35. I just went around and found many You's in various articles. I think the Community should stop anons from posting. I'm not saying that they do it, I'm just saying that in the name of having less work. The difference of being a user and a anon isn't that big. You just have recognition, recorded edits, and a profile and ability of joining a usergroup and becoming Admin. I also think that we should supply more users to RCP. Because we could fairly catch the You's culprits easily if we have more RCP's. And because of You's, and (Off topic, but also related in a way) and photo naming, there is just too much work to be constantly cleaned up. No one wants to spend a decade of their life cleaing up a site and eventually tainted again by some careless user. Trolling anons should be gone -- ALL anons should be gone. Warnings should be given to users breaking the "You's" Policy, It IS a policy and I expect it to be followed. I don't care if multiple people constantly break them. A rule is a rule and after multiple warnings, the user should be blocked. Then we extend the block time after 3 extra "You's" to fix. Then after being blocked for a week, We should ban 'em. This is just what I think and prefer. Anim-tactical-nukeemblem.gifXxGodOfPwnxX |talkAnim-tactical-nukeemblem.gif 01:27, March 21, 2011 (UTC)
I am trying that WHISKEY, though I just seen a strategy page with over 120 "you"'s on it, so I am not spending 20 minutes on that. Doc. Richtoffee Talk 22:33, March 21, 2011 (UTC)
I've gone through a lot of the COD2:BRO articles for impersonal "you's;" I remember quite clearly spending at least 45 minutes on some articles. Truthfully, you need to commit to these articles for that time period until they really are spotless. Even though anons will eventually bring the article back down to a lower state, we still strive for perfection unendingly. Thus, you may only rewrite one article, but you can log off after doing so with the knowlege that you accomplished something great that day. Shotrocket6 Talk 17:56, March 22, 2011 (UTC)
I've seen anons make good constructive edits, and it's not only anons that write like that. That's fairly stereotypical to essentially ban anons because some of them place "you" in articles. Nikolai Talk 09:47, March 21, 2011 (UTC)
Great point. I know what we should do for users, warn 'em 3 times then block for a day, then warn 'em one more time. Every time they ignore the warning, they get an addition block (3 warnings, one day block, then warn, now 2 day block,) then after a week, warn them the final time and then ban the troll if they ignore it. That's about 10 warnings. Enough for a someone to realize. And enough is enough. For anons, they are very unpreidctable. Some could end up being an Admin on the Wikia, and some could be annyoing 8-year olds who troll around the Web. And -- (I just realized this) -- most anons don't even read Policies and Guidelines so they probably wouldn't know. To help prevent "You's", I think we could add a link saying that it's recommended to read Policies or Guidelins before you post. The link should be on the main page after entering Callofduty.Wikia.com into the URL bar. And it say during editing as well, on the empty bar to the right of the text the person is editing. This is my new and revised suggestion for "You's". Anim-tactical-nukeemblem.gifXxGodOfPwnxX |talkAnim-tactical-nukeemblem.gif 22:15, March 21, 2011 (UTC)
I also just realized that some anons are just users forgetting to sign in. Anim-tactical-nukeemblem.gifXxGodOfPwnxX |talkAnim-tactical-nukeemblem.gif 22:16, March 21, 2011 (UTC)
