Now, earlier today I noticed that at the bottom of the page was a section called "Must Watch Videos". At first, since I was on a User's page, I thought it was just part of the users page, but then when I went to check a message I had got I noticed the same section was at the bottom of my talk page. I've also noticed that they're at the bottom of all of our pages, once this is published there will be some at the bottom of this forum. Now, firstly, I don't like them in general, just like "Related videos", they're pretty much unrelated to the page they're on (I saw one called "Charlie Sheen plays Call of Duty) and just don't look that great. But somewhat more annoyingly, they're on all the pages; forums, talk pages, user pages and so on, which I really don't like, aside from looking quite unprofessional (we're going to have to discuss it while one is at the bottom of this forum) it's also an addition to my user and talk page I didn't want, and I'm certain other users may feel the same. Anyway, discuss your thoughts about this new feature, I have a preference for wanting it gone. 16:28, February 26, 2014 (UTC)

Have you contacted Wikia about it yet? It is most likely that they added it as a form of advertisement that they implemented on other wikis also. It would be nice to have a definite answer from somebody official before we bother discussing what to do with it. In my personal opinion though, it is completely unnecessary. It looks really out of place and per Sam's reasoning, they are completely unreleated as the first page I checked had Pokemon videos (Good job on targeting demographics :p) 4XBy83R.pngAntiScootaTwotalk  16:40, February 26, 2014 (UTC)

Well if the consensus is to keep it, then we won't have to contact Wikia. Best we discuss the consensus first, so we know where to take it. 16:49, February 26, 2014 (UTC)

They're annoyingly off-topic to the Wiki in general, as the these videos have nothing to do with CoD most of the time. If they can be rid of, then I'd be in favor of that. Zombie Rank 8 Icon BOII Kylet357 · talk  16:45, February 26, 2014 (UTC)

It's almost the exact same thing as related videos. I don't even find a new consensus or vote necessary. Joe Copp 17:10, February 26, 2014 (UTC)

True, but if we do need to send something to Wiki, we may need to show the new consensus about removal. So even if it is going to be the same response, still better to show it. Also, if the response stays the same, it may help against any future video additions that are similar. 17:22, February 26, 2014 (UTC)

I honestly just don't care. Yeah, they're annoying, and if we are given the option to turn them off that's great, but I don't think they make the Wiki look unprofessional. If anything, they're better than related videos because they don't try to make it seem they are at all related to the page at hand. They clearly aren't part of the pages, forums or userpages and are are nothing more than Wikia trying to get more content out to it's viewers. IT's annoying to see, but no more than related videos was and it was easy enough living with related videos so, honestly, I really don't care if we keep them or not. I wouldn't go out of our way and start a debate with Wikia themselves to have them removed, but if it's a simple as an admin flipping a switch I don't mind either. KUDLq.png 18:02, February 26, 2014 (UTC)

The only thing I dislike about the videos is that they are completely irrelevent to the wiki. But now I am looking at the wiki and I don't see them. Did someone already talk to wiki about it or what? But, as Sam was saying, if they try to add more videos, maybe they can at least be relevent to the wiki, and if not, then they shouldn't be shown at all. bionicle__unity_duty_destiny_by_cyberpictures-d6p3li2.pngLegos-Rule-15 Talk  02:01, February 27, 2014 (UTC)

^That. I haven't seen this "Much Watch Videos" thing at all. Conqueror of all Zombies (talk) 15:43, February 27, 2014 (UTC)
Hang on, they seem have vanished for me now. No idea where they've gone. I'll give it a day and if they're gone, I'll assume the feature has vanished and close the forum. 17:04, February 27, 2014 (UTC)
I'm also not seeing them. I thought it might have been adblocker at work, but that wasn't the case. Joe Copp 22:23, February 27, 2014 (UTC)

Closed - They appear to have gone as quietly as they came. Leaving nothing behind but a rather nasty smell, and a battered bowler hat. No need for forum. 20:22, March 3, 2014 (UTC)

OK, since closing this forum, the Must Watch videos have returned. Now my reasoning for discussing them is the same as above. However please try to stick to the new discussion area, so we don't get confused. 13:28, March 19, 2014 (UTC)

So is Wikia doing this? Cause I completely agree with the fact that are annoying, irrelevant, and even unprofessional. If they have a must watch videos, they can at least be relevant to the wiki their on. I mean, really, Titanfall and Dark Soul ads seem hardly related to COD. bionicle__unity_duty_destiny_by_cyberpictures-d6p3li2.pngLegos-Rule-15 Talk 23:56, March 19, 2014 (UTC)

Pictogram voting support Support — lets get rid of these if we can. RisingSun2013 (talk) 00:07, March 20, 2014 (UTC)

We're not in voting stage yet. 00:09, March 20, 2014 (UTC)
oh. well still, i support the idea to get rid of it. RisingSun2013 (talk) 00:11, March 20, 2014 (UTC)

I'm assuming there isn't a way to turn this off or delete them, soooo, since a few of you guys are VSTF, can we tell Wikia to take the damn things off?.-Diegox223 Zed's dead, baby.Personal Diegox223 Deadpool logo01:21, March 20, 2014 (UTC)

We can contact them, yes. However it's best to gather a consensus first. Since if it's a new feature that can't be toggled off the large consensus will act as a good reaction to if it should stay not. 02:56, March 20, 2014 (UTC)

Even as this forum stagnates, I think someone should get in touch with staff to find the motivation or reasoning behind implementing MWVs, and to find out if we even can turn them off. Joe Copp 18:23, April 8, 2014 (UTC)

Actually, I've been noticing that they have a habit of disappearing and reappearing. So I'm not sure exactly how purposely implemented they are. So even more reason to contact staff. 19:07, April 8, 2014 (UTC)
i know, its very rare they appear for me, but they do every once and awhile. RisingSun2013 (talk) 22:24, April 9, 2014 (UTC)

I sent Sannse a message on Community Wiki, and this was her response:

"Hi Joe,
We are just testing the "Must Watch" section at the moment - which is why you see it sometimes and not always (and possibly in different formats, I don't recall if that's in the test)
The testing will be over soon, and then it will disapear while we look at the data... so this one is a "watch this space"
Can you pass that on to the others in the forum please? Thanks
— Sannse

Seems like it's only temporary for now. I don't think we have to worry about it. Joe Copp 22:48, April 9, 2014 (UTC)

Hey guys a quick update regarding this A/B test. Users will view this tests differently. So not everyone's viewing experience will be the same. The test will come to an end tomorrow 4/11. If you would like to view the results of the test we will gladly share them with you. Mighty No. 9 (talk) 21:29, April 10, 2014 (UTC)

Doesn't seem to be around again. KUDLq.png 17:26, April 14, 2014 (UTC)

I still see it. -- laagone (talk)  17:42, April 14, 2014 (UTC)
I don't. Must change from computer to computer. Sanse did say it was in beta anyway. KUDLq.png 18:35, April 14, 2014 (UTC)

Has anyone seen it in the past few days? It's been a while since they were purportedly disabled, and I haven't spotted them. Joe Copp 20:06, April 28, 2014 (UTC)

And they're back. bionicle__unity_duty_destiny_by_cyberpictures-d6p3li2.pngLegos-Rule-15 Talk 01:01, May 10, 2014 (UTC)
I've been seeing them for a while now, but haven't posted because they actually seem to be relevant now. Don't know if anybody else is getting similar videos to me, but I get Black Ops II videos and only Black Ops II videos regardless of the page. 4XBy83R.pngAntiScootaTwotalk  01:07, May 10, 2014 (UTC)
I've noticed that too. Still, not everyone is beneficial to the wiki one way or another. However, I've noticed that some of the videos are ones of trailers/intros that we don't have anywhere. bionicle__unity_duty_destiny_by_cyberpictures-d6p3li2.pngLegos-Rule-15 Talk 01:13, May 10, 2014 (UTC)

The videos are now relevant, albeit they are only videos on Black Ops II. Also, they seem to appear when viewing images and videos. Captain Emblem MW2 Capt. Miller · talk 09:06, May 29, 2014 (UTC)
