Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is coming up, so it's time for the wiki's them to be changed. I have two ideas in mind for color but not for backgrounds:

• Advanced Warfare Theme: This one is the one I prefer. It would be pretty much the same: black, white, but also gold/yellow for things like links or something. This seems to be the main color theme for the boxart and that's what we usually go with.
• Atlas Theme: It would be red, black and grey. I don't recommend this them; what colors would be for what? Besides, it isn't actually themed after the game itself.

These are just my ideas. We should change the theme soon, Advanced Warfare is coming out Tuesday. So give your idea below or let me know if you agree with one of mine, but even then we need to decide the background. RisingSun2013 05:07, November 1, 2014 (UTC)

I agree that we should update the skin, but not via a forum. The previous forum was a shit storm that took 2 months to close. I'd be open to a few more well knowledged css admins mulling it over. KλT 06:27, November 1, 2014 (UTC)

If we change the colours of the wiki we're going to have to change a shit load of templates and code. When we changed the wiki from black back to white we had to edit so much stuff just to make the wiki looks right again. The last forum we had regarding the theme was more or less put in place so that we always keep the white body, and only change smaller things like the background or link colours, or something that isn't going to need a whole redux.

Kat's awesome skin

Alright folks, kat here with another award winning skin. I took some elements from our BO2 skin and Advanced Warfare'd it. Darker background, with dark gold borders. I don't really like the prospect of switching to a dark theme again. While one reason I don't want to swap is all the coding, the other is the reason we swapped back to white in the first place. There were quite a few people that disliked the darker theme and preferred the lighter theme since it was better on the eyes. I really don't feel we should be swapping back to a dark theme again.

Just for the difference, and because I do like Kat's design, I did a mock up with the same colour scheme on a white background, Kat has all the buttons coded in to look like ours, and I don't so, so I cropped in the header and footer from here to make it look like it was used here. The second image is straight off of theme designer, as a display of what a page looks like with content. Anyway, this is what it comes out as:

Figured best to offer something with a light background so we don't end up in a dead forum with no change. Also pay no attention to the background in use, I just lobbed on an AW one for it to make more sense.

Also, bear in mind, my Wiki uses no coding, so in some places it won't show the extent of the change, since we have personalised coloured borders and such like.

Mine is just there to offer a choice. Any other mock ups are also allowed. I just made a version for the lighter skin choice.

I would still prefer a light theme, as much as I like the way the dark theme compliments the yellow/gold accent. I don't suppose we could somehow find a middle ground? I like the white one more just because I'd prefer a lighter skin and I think gray would look gross. If we really wanted to get creative, we could go with an Atlas theme. White pages, Red other stuff. But I obviously understand the preference for Gold+White. As an added note this could allow us to add some flare to the Wiki logo as well, like an atlas Logo to the side or in the background. I like dis one. Only suggestion I have is updating the logo to be more relveant (Coloring, Atlas Logo, etc.) but I understand, obviously, that this was a quick concept job. I recommend people looking at the wiki through their own monitors, my own monitor is 1920x1080p so it's pretty stretched out.
