I was recently looking over COD:A as I wanted a quick link to a user's talk page, and was looking though our semi-active and inactive users. What came to my notice is that the 3 users with revision delete, Azuris, Callofduty4 and Sactage, are all semi-active and at times hard to get hold of. Azuris is marked as inactive, but he's recently been joining chat, so he's sort of in limbo, he's also not as hard to contact due to being in chat, but that still leaves only 1 user. For this reason I beleive we should give the user rights out to some new users. Given we are both Active, I'd like to first nominate myself and KATANAGOD. I know MLG is still on the "active" side of semi-active, so if he would also like to be considered, he need only say in the section below. I'm unsure if this is a b'crat only right as it's been a very long time since a user had the right, but I'm certain there are also some Admins that could be trusted with the right. I'm also unsure if the right is given out by staff of b'crats, hence why I'm making a forum, and not just giving it out myself, also given the nature of the right, I feel we should still go though a consensus, even if we are filling a void.

What RainingPain said, also summaries are removed. Hidden revisions can't be seen by other users, only by admins, and it's mainly used for revisions containing personal or illegal information and that kinda stuff. -- laagone ^(talk) 18:38, November 10, 2014 (UTC)

I suppose I'd be up for it. Not that I watch RC more than once every 4 days but most of the time I'm available immediately if contacted. Also, to answer your question, it's a right given by Staff, not by bureaucrats. -- laagone ^(talk) 18:38, November 10, 2014 (UTC)

Right then, so after the discussion section I'll put up some votes for all the nominees. As I said, I'm not 100% sure if it's b'crat only, but I'm fine if people want to nominate some long standing admins.

I'm pretty sure that it's a b'crat only right. I don't see the harm in giving a few other users this capability, but I don't see too much of a need for delete revision holders at this time. Conqueror of all Zombies (talk) 22:11, November 10, 2014 (UTC)

Well like I said, as it stands we have no active ones any more, so while the need may not be too prevalent, if it did come up, we'd have no users to actually contact.

I think the rights should only be given to B'crats. I know there are some fantastic users who could use the right somehow, but isn't there a limit to the number of users who can have the right? Capt. Miller 23:56, November 10, 2014 (UTC)

Rev Delete is not supposed to be decided via forum since staff are usually prickly with rights such as these. In the past usually Bcrats mull it over between themselves, this isn't really something meant for a forum. KλT 00:03, November 11, 2014 (UTC)

True, but sometimes a forum can be seen as a community consensus and can be sent to staff to act as reason to give the rights, like my CheckUser right.

In that case, I think that makes the only nominees myself, you and MLG. So if you want I can simply move this to a vote.

I don't see why a vote is really needed. You, Kat and MLG are all trusted users held in fairly high standing on this wiki, I'm pretty sure everyone would be fine with granting you guys a power that seems like it'd be fairly hard to abuse. Wikia normally like seeing a bit of a community consensus though. Besies, we can likely get this closed fast if we get enough votes.
