I consider Soap's Journal more canon than OP:Kingfish, so I think whatever is in that journal is the right info. In the journal, if I am not mistaken, no mention of the Operation is even made. By the time he's talking about TF141 and Shepherd, he has only just met Roach and Ghost, and he still believes Price is gone from the events of Game Over. In Kingfish, Price IS there. In addition to that, At the end of Kingfish, Soap learns that KF was actually Makarov, yet one page after in Soap's journal, we see pics of Makarov and Rojas, implying he knows who Makarov is, albeit with no mention to the whole Operation. Now, at the end of MW3, we have the image that shows the four who participated (Soap, Price, Ghost, Sandman)- yet no mention of Ghost is made except on the first page where Soap talks about the Task Force. Sandman is not mentioned. With the explanation that the Journal was written before Kingfish was released, I think this renders Kingfish invalid as canon. The image at the end of MW3 however, renders Kingfish canon to some extent.

I was just wondering, is Find Makarov: Operation Kingfish considered canon? Although we have no offical confirmation (I've tweeted Bowling a couple of times with no reply), many of the things are referenced throughout MW3 and the story links with MW2 as well. So I think maybe we should decide here if its canon and then add the info to pages. What do y'all think? Iw5 cardicon soapN7 TC 20:18, December 4, 2011 (UTC)

I personally hold the belief that it is canon, but when it comes to adding it as a canon source in articles, i'm a little iffy. I feel like we should have proper confirmation, despite all the clues and connections we can make. http://i.imgur.com/KUDLq.png 20:22, December 4, 2011 (UTC)

I personally think we should wait until we get confirmation. Raven's wing Talk20:26, December 4, 2011 (UTC)

What if we never get confirmation? Iw5 cardicon soapN7 TC 20:30, December 4, 2011 (UTC)
Then it stays in its own article. Raven's wing Talk20:31, December 4, 2011 (UTC)
If we really went a substantial amount of time without confirmation, I say we could add it, but that substantial time would probably be when the next game is released or something. http://i.imgur.com/KUDLq.png 20:32, December 4, 2011 (UTC)

Wasn't Op Kingfish mentioned in the MW3 campaign? http://i.imgur.com/vm7BQ.png

The discussion is about the Short Film Find Makarov: Operation Kingfish, not the actual operation which is canon. http://i.imgur.com/KUDLq.png 01:15, December 5, 2011 (UTC)
Didn't Activision endorse it? If the operation is canon and Activision endorsed the video, it's really not a long stretch to say the depiction can be taken as canon in turn. Master SergeantSgt. ChiafriendRifleman 01:19, December 5, 2011 (UTC)
Well now that I think about it, I think the reason it's regarded as non-canon is that it was released before MW3. Now that we see all the connections to the film in MW3... I'm leaning towards saying it's safe to say that its canon. http://i.imgur.com/KUDLq.png 01:23, December 5, 2011 (UTC)

We can assume that Kingfish is quite canon. I don't think IW came up with the Kingfish name, and the references in MW3's campaign gives it away. DarkMetroid567 Not Disavowed :P 01:49, December 5, 2011 (UTC)

I need a bit of space to confuse everyone

Alright, bear with me here.
