We already had the issue of related videos being turned off since any user could add a video to it. This was supposedly fixed by making it so only admins could add to the featured videos list. However, I think this may co-inside with the new "auto-upload" feature, now this list will use any video on the wiki. Given many users have placed videos on user and talk pages, it means a lot of personal videos have worked their way into the related videos section. An example will be given at the end of this paragraph. As this is the issue, we will either have to go about deleting all the personal videos from the Special:Videos section, or simply turn off the related videos, since this will be an ongoing issue since there's no way we can constantly keep personal videos off the wiki.

Support — So far it is not a feature that is ready for us yet. The SCP video is just there, and it clogs spaces in pages.10:06, August 25, 2013 (UTC)
Support — Per Sam. The feature seems to be near useless, and with the auto-upload, none of the "related videos" are usually related to the wiki.16:59, August 25, 2013 (UTC)
Comment — Just an edit. I recently removed and re-added the SCP song from the Wiki. When it was gone the video tab on the side was empty, which it likely should be on most pages, and when re-added it was on all the pages again. This may be something to do with the song, but I don't know what it is about that file that triggers it being on every page. But if it can happen to this video it could happen to any video.

Support — I strongly agree with AntiScootaTwo. Joe Copp 00:14, September 7, 2013 (UTC)
Support — I have never liked it in the first place and I don't even know anyone that uses it. Per all. --02:24, September 8, 2013 (UTC)
Comment — As seen below the videos section has once again been altered in such a way that it no longer shows videos even slightly related to Call of Duty.

Support — There are non-COD videos a lot of the time, and when there are COD videos, they usually aren't related to the page. Price 22:04, October 15, 2013 (UTC)
Support — This feature really doesn't have a use to begin with, as many pages do not even have YouTube videos, and those that do are usually the LeftyGamer videos and sound files. Now with the feature just linking any video whatsoever, it has shown it is not in any way a useful addition.02:41, October 24, 2013 (UTC)
Support — Totally not needed. IMO it's more of an annoyance, really. 01:08, November 2, 2013 (UTC)
A matter of spoilers[edit source]
As Batman mentioned to some of us on the chat, there will probably be spoiler heavy videos in the related videos section of most Ghost articles (Character, weapon and all that). Although yes, you'd be looking at a page that does contain spoilers, it's still the fact that as soon as you would start scrolling down you'd end up seeing "X's DIES CUTSCENE" or something close to those lines. Since stuff like that will happen, it'd be nice if we could manage to remove the feature before Tuesday. P90Deathman01:16, November 2, 2013 (UTC)
Strong Support — - I agree with it, thank you for bringing up my point P90.01:24, November 2, 2013 (UTC)
Support — Because why not, it could cause issues.01:25, November 2, 2013 (UTC)
Support — Agreed. 01:39, November 2, 2013 (UTC)
Everyone supports this so imma contact Wikia and get them to disable it.16:00, November 3, 2013 (UTC)
- I've re-opened this forum as the videos section is still there. Once the section has been removed then we can close the forum. Until then, the forum has not been concluded and will remain open until its intent is complete. 08:11, December 14, 2013 (UTC)
disabled the related videos module by hand. KλT 09:53, February 16, 2014 (UTC)
