I was thinking, maybe we should have a "CoDWiki Awards" thing at the end of the year. Where users can vote on the "Most Improved User" and stuff. Just brainstorming some awards here.

User of the Year - Possibly take all the UotMs and vote for the best user.
Best Chat Mod, Admin, and Bureaucrat - The friendliest, fairest and coolest (sorry giggle, u no win) in each category gets the award.
Most helpful user - Awarded to the most helpful user, not necessarily a sysop.

These sound good. Maybe some fun-er ones like "Funniest user in Chat/IRC" and "Fail of the Year" etc.

I thought about the voting system, and I'll make a google doc form that people can fill out once we have nominated the users and then I'll post the results on a news blog on January 1st (given that I'm not to hungover) N7 T C 12:26, November 26, 2011 (UTC)

I like this idea, it's like a larger UoTM. It also has the added benefit that people won't (and can't) edit-whore to get awards like that god-awful wiki achievement shabang we went through a while back. --ukimies {talk | irc | administration} 13:56, November 26, 2011 (UTC)
