Hello,
I’ve been gone for 2 years, roughly, and in that time I’ve occasionally rechecked the wiki to see the goings on and whatnot. Unfortunately, the current state of affairs isn’t the greatest. With MW apparently doing well (according to my brief survey of its popularity) and other factors, we could be getting more activity on this site. So, in addition to spamming this forum post like there’s no tomorrow, I have some ideas to help the wiki in its overall maintenance and upkeep.
Remove UotM, for Now
Rather self explanatory. This is completely unused and serves no purpose. We haven’t had a nomination in a ridiculously long time, and I see no reason why it should appear on the main page. Rather than let it rot like a carcass, we should decommission UotM for the time being. How long that is depends on user activity and interest.
Blog Stuff
Get the blog stuff going again. Occasional posts wouldn’t be too hard a thing to do. I’ll handle them mostly, and I’d appreciate it if someone else could help.
Redirection
Is it possible to shovel activity from the Discuss thingy to the main site? To me, at least, that seems to be the place where users end up. Maybe promote the Discord there, or sticky a post looking for editors? I don’t know, I’ll think of something. There’s plenty of things that could be done to increase activity.
Provide a Link to the War Room on the Main Page
Or in a blog. Dedicate space on the main page to the War Room. Anything to draw more attention to the fact this is here.
