The Gas Grenade is a tactical equipment featured in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Mobile, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare[]

Gas Grenades are a type of lethal equipment in the Zombies mode, on every map except for The Beast From Beyond. Like the other lethal equipment, it can be obtained from backpacks dropped by killed zombies.

When thrown, the grenade releases a cloud of gas that is lethal to zombies, turning them into crawlers briefly before killing them. This grenade does not deal any damage to players but causes heavy damage to zombies, killing them until later 30 really fast.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare[]

The Gas Grenade returns in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

It shares similarities to the Mk2 Grenade in terms of its appearance. Upon detonation, it releases a distinctive green gas over an area. Victims shall experience blurry vision and disorientation, an inability to sprint, reduction in their movement speed. Moreover, they cannot aim down the sights while in the gas. Victims also cough profusely when under the effects of the gas released, giving away their position.

If a victim was near the gas grenade when it detonated, they will wave their hands over their face in a desperate act of moving the gas away.

Call of Duty: Mobile[]

The Gas Grenade returns in Call of Duty: Mobile. It was added in January 2021 as part of the Season 1: New Order update.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II[]
