Nikolai takes the team - Price, Gaz, Soap, Ghost, and Farah - to Laswell as they drag Shepherd, who was Konni's prisoner, to her. As the General questions what this is about, they gave him a choice - either he agrees to tell Congress everything he and Graves did; as well as clearing Farah and the ULF's names; along with him disclosing the intel on Makarov to the team. Or he'll be left stranded and freeze to death in Siberia. Shepherd agrees to their terms and gets escorted to Laswell's helicopter.
During their briefing, Shepherd revealed Makarov's next target is at the Gora Dam in Verdansk for Konni to destroy. While the rest of the team head to Urzikstan, Ghost and Soap are deployed to Verdansk. Later at the dam, Soap moves to the reservoir and Ghost goes down to the base of the dam to find and disarm the explosives that Konni has set around the area. As he deals with Konni, Ghost search and disarms all explosives being guarded while Soap secured the gas canisters on the reservoir that was meant to poison the water supply. Ghost then waits for Nikolai at the exfil point as he extracts Soap and the gas canisters into his helicopter. After landing at the exfil point, Ghost gets onboard Nikolai's chopper before the three leave Verdansk.
