Grenades are throwable explosive devices used frequently throughout the Call of Duty series. They can be generally sorted into one of two types: lethals and tacticals:
Lethal Grenades[]
- Mk 2 Grenade, an American hand grenade featured in every Call of Duty series game set during World War II.
- Mills Bomb, a British hand grenade featured in Call of Duty and Call of Duty 2.
- RGD-33 Grenade, a Russian grenade featured in every Call of Duty series game set during World War II and in Call of Duty: Black Ops.
- M24 Stielhandgranate, a German stick grenade featured in every Call of Duty series game set during World War II and in Call of Duty: Black Ops.
- Kiska, a Japanese hand grenade featured in Call of Duty: World at War.
- N° 74 ST, a sticky grenade featured in Call of Duty: Finest Hour and Call of Duty: World at War.
- Semtex, a sticky grenade featured in every main game since Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
- M67 Grenade, the standard grenade in any Call of Duty game set after World War II (except Advanced Warfare).
- Fragmentation Grenades, the standard grenades featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Call of Duty: Black Ops III with a smaller appearance in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
- XM31 Grenade, a wrist-mounted grenade exclusive to the campaign mode of Call of Duty: Black Ops II.
- Canister Bomb, a deployable lethal grenade in Call of Duty: Ghosts.
- Contact Grenade, a lethal grenade in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.
- Smart Grenade, a lethal grenade in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.
- Variable Grenade, a grenade in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare that is either lethal or tactical.
- MMG, a lethal grenade exclusive to the campaign mode of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, and unobtainable by the player.
- Cluster Grenade, a lethal grenade available in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
- Plasma Grenade , a sticky grenade available in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
- Seeker Grenade, a lethal grenade available in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (Seeker Bot in SP).
- Flechette Grenade, a lethal grenade available in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

- Smoke Grenade, a smoke grenade featured throughout the Call of Duty series.
- Flashbang, a flashbang grenade featured in the Modern Warfare games, as well as Call of Duty: Black Ops, Call of Duty: Black Ops II and Call of Duty: Ghosts.
- Stun Grenade, a stun grenade featured in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.
- Tabun Gas, a poison gas grenade featured in Call of Duty: World at War.

- Sensor Grenade, a detecting grenade featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops II.
- Thermobaric Grenade, an armor weakening grenade featured in Call of Duty: Ghosts.
- Tear Gas, a smoke grenade exclusive to the campaign mode of Call of Duty: Ghosts.
- Threat Grenade, a tactical grenade in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.
- Teleport Grenade, a tactical grenade in the Exo Zombies mode of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.
- Jammer Grenade, an equipment and electronics destroying grenade featured in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
- Blackout Grenade, a stun grenade featured in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
