"Fully automatic LMG. Reduces fire rate over time, becoming more accurate."
— Description.

The HAMR is a Light Machine Gun in Call of Duty: Black Ops II. It has a fairly similar appearance to the SCAR-H.

The HAMR is a unique LMG that features a faster fire rate that slows down as you hold the trigger, however this feature does not appear in the Campaign. The iron sights are fairly clean reducing the need for optics, but the muzzle flash can be bothersome to some. It also has a fast reload compared to other LMGs, but it only comes with 75 rounds per mag. The Quickdraw Handle is extremely helpful for all LMGs, and this one is no different. Partnered with the Grip attachment, this weapon can be even more deadly at medium and long ranges. If used in objective modes such as Domination, then the Target Finder can help find and block off several enemies from an objective even if they are concealed in smoke, dust or darkness with the impressive firepower this weapon possesses.

Zombies

The HAMR appears in Zombies. It is one of the more useful weapons, dealing massive damage, having a large magazine and ammo reserve, and moderately fast reload time for a LMG.  It becomes the "SLDG HAMR" when Pack-a-Punched and it can be equipped with an ACOG Scope, a Grip or Reflex Sight. It is also one of the weapons that can be Pack-a-Punched multiple times which cycles through various attachments each time it is Pack-a-Punched, as well as removing attachments all together.
