"Haruko Mandelbaum was on our team for less than a day, until you and your pals made her extra crispy. That's not right."
— Jacob Hendricks

Haruko Mandelbaum was a Winslow Accord operative and was the escort driver of the Black Ops team Phi. She appears in the Call of Duty: Black Ops III prequel comic.

Biography[edit | edit source]

Haruko was assigned to Phi on their second mission, likely as a replacement for Hussein Patel. The objective was to assassinate Maxim Chernakov in Helsinki, Finland. However, the mission was compromised very early when Chernakov hired hitmen to kill the Winslow Accord operatives. Haruko escorted the team in a police van and managed to evade the hitmen until she was wounded. Ordering the team to bail out of the van, she sacrificed herself to save the others by crashing it into the hitmen, allowing Hendricks, Taylor and Stone to escape.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Hendricks mentions that Haruko died on her first day as a member of Phi.
  • Despite technically being a member of Phi, she is not listed as such on the Data Vault.
