Havoc is a multiplayer game mode featured in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III.

The mode starts off with Team Deathmatch rules, with two teams of six must eliminate each other to reach the score count of 75 points to win. As players accumulate kills, a bar located on the top of the screen will progressively fill up to indicate when a modifier will trigger, changing specific elements of the player's gameplay when one becomes active. Killstreaks are disabled (except Killstreaks in various modifiers). A maximum of five modifiers can be active per game.

Havoc was added on August 2nd, 2023 as part of the Season Five update and remained in the game until the launch of Season Six on September 27th, 2023.

Modifiers[]

  • Ammo Feeder: Auto reloads a weapon from stock ammo upon elimination.
  • Boots Off the Ground: Low gravity. Affects only player jump heights, not thrown equipment or ballistics.
  • Camera Shift: Everyone swaps to a Third Person camera view.
  • Chain Reaction: A cluster of three Semtex grenades are dropped on kill.
  • Charged Up: Become cranked after a kill.
  • Equipment Restock: Equipment reload on kills.
  • Eyes On: Advanced UAV is always active.
  • Gun Runner: A random weapon is given to the player after each kill. Kills with equipment do not give the player a different weapon.

  • Hot Shot: Crossbows only with Molotov bolts.
  • Lucky Three: Three kills grant a random Killstreak.
  • One Tap: Headshots are one shot kills.
  • Snapshot Killer: Launch a Snapshot Grenade on kill.
  • System Reroll: Resets all previous modifiers and instantly replaces them with new ones. This modifier can only appear in the fifth modifier slot and will also be replaced.
