Sergeant Heath was a sergeant in the 506th PIR, in the 101st, in the Baker Company pathfinders. He is first seen dead, hanging from a tree, in the Pathfinders level of Call of Duty. You were to link up with him, but, seeing that he is dead, you must grab his leg back and set up a homing beacon for the rest of the division to come. He might of been killed by the AA guns, or the Germans in the near-by bunker. He is not mentioned during the game again, but regular soldiers are seen with his name, with random ranks.
