"I think we can put this to better use than the Nazis did."
Olivia Durant on finding Holda

The Holda (referred to as the Nazi Axe by the Notebook) is one of the three special melee weapons featured in the Call of Duty: WWII Nazi Zombies map The Shadowed Throne. It is a golden axe with a black handle with the logo of the Ahnenerbe emblazoned on a golden plate attached to it, with the Iron Cross placed on the head. The entire axe pulsates with Geistkraft energy.

Overview[]

The Holda shares the same attacks as the Ice Pick, however with the added affect that the charge attack has increased movement speed during it along with producing a Geistkraft explosion upon killing an enemy while charging. Said explosion staggering and dealing damage to nearby zombies.

Obtaining[]

The Holda is hidden away in a drawer of the Museum and as such, requires a few items to unlock. First is a set of radio frequencies that can be found etched into one of six different locations.

  • On the right wall of the broken elevator within the Apartments.
  • On the ceiling above the 1000 Jolts door leading to Main Street from the Apartments.
  • In the Museum, below the M1 Garand Weapon Locker.
  • On the bottom of a pillar to the left of the Mystery Box location in the Museum.
  • Etched onto the side of a dresser in the backstage area of the Cabaret.
  • Etched onto a box backstage, on the right side of the stage, behind a fence.

With these radio frequencies, they can be input into the Short Wave Radio in the Main Street. Doing so will make the radio start transmitting a morse code encrypted message. The message, when translated from morse code will be two numbers ranging from 1 to 25. This code is utilized on the large map in the Church. There is a magnifying glass that is required to confirm the co-ordinates from the morse code, it is located on a seat in the Cabaret beside the M1928 Weapon Locker. With the code and magnifying glass, go to the church and interact with the map. The first number corresponds with the X axis of the map while the second corresponds with the Y. If the correct grid co-ordinates are hovered over with the magnifying glass, exiting the map will have the wooden cabinet open up revealing a small golden plate. One for a set of scales in the Museum.

The set of scales with the missing plate is located at the far wall, near to the Faustblitz machine. When the plate is returned, the scales become unbalanced and require re-balancing. To do so, the head of a Gekocht must be placed on it, which can be obtained by melee killing one beside a Geistschild machine which will capture the head from the body. Buying Geistschild from the machine, even if you are full on it will give you the head for use. Placing it on the scales will balance it out and activate the nearby taxidermy rabbit into a Geistkraft conduit. With enough kills to charge it, the drawer of the table where the scales are will open, revealing the Holda.
