The subject of this article appeared in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
General Shepherd: "I've requisitioned a Stryker from the 8th Armored."
Sgt. Foley: "Honey Badger's a mean bitch, sir."

Honey Badger is the callsign of a Stryker ICV (Infantry Combat Vehicle) that appears in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 level "Exodus", and the Special Ops mission Wardriving. It escorts the player to the house that the HVI has taken shelter in. Along the way, the player is given the task of 'painting' targets with a laser designator, which is an attachment on the player's weapon, for Honey Badger's M2 machine gun; it is a very effective support unit due to its active protection system that "hardkills" (fires a counter-projectile that disrupts explosive projectiles before contact) RPGs, but this can become overloaded and will need some assistance from the player to reduce the amount of fire at the vehicle. The player can be run over by Honey Badger, so it is advised to stay out of Honey Badger's way.

Trivia

  • Honey Badger can also kill the player with its M2 machine gun, but only if the player stands in the line of fire.
  • When Ramirez is about to get run over, either Sgt. Foley or Cpl. Dunn will tell the player to get out of the way.
  • It is possible to shoot Honey Badger with a stolen RPG-7, but the anti-missile system will intercept it.
  • Shooting Honey Badger with an RPG-7 enough times will result in a friendly fire message.
  • It is possible to "ride" Honey Badger. If the player stands at the wheels, the character will skim across the surface without having to move. Another possible way to ride Honey Badger is to jump from a vehicle and jump at the right time to the top of the vehicle.
  • It is also possible for Honey Badger to shoot down enemy helicopters.
  • Honey Badger may be a reference to the viral video "Honey Badger".
  • Honey Badger disappears after clearing out the final house, the only explanation for this is that it backed up and left the area, as it had no further role to play. While Honey Badger, along with Sgt. Foley, Cpl. Dunn or Pvt. James Ramirez did not appear in Modern Warfare 3, it can be assumed, that given Strykers and Rangers alike were present for the Battle of New York, it could be possible that Honey Badger, along with Foley and his unit, went on to fight in New York and other operations.
  • "Exodus" is the only prominent appearance of the Stryker, as "Team Player"'s Strykers are only seen in the beginning, and Firefly is destroyed, and Samaritan and Frolic do not support Frost after he enters the building on the right, whereas Honey Badger plays a prominent role in the evacuation of Arcadia.
  • Given that there are many destroyed Strykers in New York, it could be possible that one of these Strykers is Honey Badger, but given that Honey Badger is not confirmed to have been at New York, this is unknown.
  • Exactly as to why Honey Badger does not smash down the barricade and follow the player toward 4677 Brookmere road is unknown, it may be that it was reassigned elsewhere, and therefore could not follow them.
  • Honey Badger's model is reused, as every Stryker in Modern Warfare 3, destroyed or not, looks exactly like Honey Badger, minus the "Hard Kill" units on the corners and sides. The destroyed Strykers look the same, only with burn marks, the Stryker is slanted off to one angle, the gun has been torn upward, and the tires are smashed.
  • It is likely that Honey Badger was destroyed (or at least disabled) after the EMP occurred during the events of "Second Sun".
