Sergeant Hoyt is a character featured in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Hoyt is a member of the United States Marine Corps and leader of the squad "Hitman".
After Alex confirms the sample of the chemical gas that the Russians have been using, Hoyt commandeered the truck holding said gas canisters with their team escorting the truck. However, the team got caught up in an ambush prepared by Al-Qatala insurgents with an RPG shot impacting the vehicle that Alex was riding in, causing him to be knocked unconscious.
Afterwards, Hoyt was one of the remaining Marines who survived the attack as he provided covering fire for Randolf moving Alex away from the wreckage. However, just as Randolf was killed, Hoyt was shot to his right shoulder and collapsed before being finished off with a shot through the neck.
