Hughes was among the three Marines that were captured by Al-Qatala and held hostage in the Rammaza Hospital. Alex and the Marines arrive in time to find the three captive Marines inside the room about to be executed by the Wolf on camera. Eventually, Hughes and the other two Marines were rescued by Alex and the Marines as well as succeeding in capturing the Wolf and killing his remaining insurgents.
