For other uses, see Hunted.

Hunters are a type of Cryptid that appears in the Call of Duty: Ghosts mode Extinction. It also makes an appearance in the Zombies mode of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare map The Beast from Beyond.

Appearance

Similar to Scouts, Hunters are average in physical size with silver tinted skin and a red aura. Like Rhinos, their heads are lined with armor plating that is significantly stronger than Scouts. Hunters will charge players on two legs, a trait not shared with any other Cryptid lifeform excluding the Leper and the Phantom, making them easy to distinguish in combat.

Overview

Hunters serve the same roles as Scouts, in that they are Cryptids that will attack the player, but are also capable of targeting objective objects like the Laser Drill and friendly Sentry Guns. Compared to Scouts, Hunters deal damage much more quickly, making them incredibly dangerous when defending an objective or when using Sentry Guns. Thus, it is incredibly important to be wary of them when defending said objects.

Hunters have large armour plating and much more health than Scouts do. Killing a Hunter nets $200.

In later rounds on maps, Hunters generally become much more commonplace, and on some maps, become more common than Scouts. On most maps, Hunters are rarely seen in the early stages of a match.

In Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, a Hunter appears on the "Cryptid Attack" arcade game found within the Astrocade and Afterlife Arcade in Zombies in Spaceland, where the player must throw a total of six balls at the six teeth of a Hunter.
