Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3Edit

During World War III following the events of Modern Warfare 2 more specifically the mission EndgameNikolai takes Price and Soap to one of his safe houses in the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh on the Himalayan mountains to save Soap from the stab wounds he sustained from Shepherd. This area is soon invaded by Vladimir Makarov's Ultranationalists to kill the remaining members of Task Force 141 as well as an underground loyalist cell. While civilian casualties were caused by the Ultranationalists, the exact toll is unknown, as is India's official role in the War.

Call of Duty: Black Ops IIEdit

During the Second Cold War, India was not part of the member of Chinese-led Strategic Defense Coalition. To prevent India from falling into SDC hands, the Joint Special Operations Command had installed Forward Operating Base Spectre in the northern border of Himachal Pradesh.

FOB Spectre comes under attack by SDC forces, and the player's victory or failure against them determines whether India will be forced to make aliance with the SDC or stay allied to the West.

In maps presented in Call of Duty: Black Ops II, the region of Northeast India does not appear to be a part of the country, along with the northernmost adjoining parts of the state of West Bengal. As this region is not a part of neighbouring countries or the SDC, it has likely seceded from India.

In Multiplayer, the map Vertigo is located on a skyscraper in Mumbai, India.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III Edit

In Call of Duty: Black Ops III, India is a member of the Winslow Accord.
