India, officially known as the Republic of India is a country located in South Asia with its capital being New Delhi.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
During World War III, the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh was invaded by Vladimir Makarov's Ultranationalists to kill the remaining members of Task Force 141 as well as an underground Loyalist cell. While civilian casualties were caused by the Ultranationalists, the exact toll is unknown, as is India's official role in the War.
Call of Duty: Black Ops II
During the Second Cold War, India was not a part of the China-led Strategic Defense Coalition. To prevent India from falling into SDC hands, JSOC had established Forward Operating Base Spectre in the state of Himachal Pradesh, in Northern India.
FOB Spectre comes under attack by SDC forces, and the player's victory or failure against them determines whether India will be forced into the SDC or not.
In maps presented in Call of Duty: Black Ops II, the region of Northeast India does not appear to be a part of the country, along with a small portion of the state of West Bengal. As this region is not a part of neighbouring countries or the SDC, it has likely seceded from India.
In Multiplayer, map Vertigo is located in Mumbai, India.
