Izolda "Warden" Garanina was born into a privileged life as the daughter of Kremlin officials, political activists fighting for a better future. Her parents taught Izolda that Russia was a nation with a rich history that it could be changed from within for the better. Unfortunately, her parents were casualties in a extremist attack against against the Russians, an attack Izolda only survived thanks to her parents’ sacrifice.
Orphaned and broken, thirteen-year-old Izolda was taken in by her aunt, a political agitator with much more militant views than those of Izolda's parents. Over the next five years, the vulnerable Izolda slowly adopted her aunt's dogma that strong military action was Russia's only hope for a better future, and surrounded herself only with others who shared that view. With encouragement and a recommendation from her aunt. Izolda Joined the Russian Armed Forces as soon as she was able. Naturally bright and burning with determination, Izolda excelled, quickly earning a spot in the elite Vympel unit, conducting both counterterrorism and Infiltration operations.
But the Armed Forces were not bold enough for Izolda- they were too reactionary. Izolda believed that the only safe and prosperous Russia was one that took charge of all world affairs. She joined the Konni Group looking for a leader who was willing to take measures even her aunt wouldn't and, in Vladimir Makarov, "Warden" found that in spades.
