JJ is a character in V.E.R.S.I.O.N.. He is described as the "pride of Singapore's national soccer team".
In 2037, JJ was granted the right to train exclusively at the Isle's training facilities for the 2037 football championships, using virtual reality goggles to allow him to train on a pitch by himself. Virtual reality technology was advanced enough at the time that an athlete's every move and trick could be coded. Artificial intelligence would create virtual players and coaches, basing their moves on previous decisions and stats. This would allow precise virtual reality training. The VR system also had an audio set to emulate the sounds of the game. The headset could also emulate the crowds and general atmosphere.
JJ was extremely dedicated to his training, getting up at 4am every day to practice. He was described as being "robotic", giving little hint as to whether his beats the virtual goalie or not, merely setting himself up over and over after every shot.
The VR system could also create virtual fans after the game, allowing JJ to "sign" autographs once he left training.
