- For the Nazi Zombies boss featured in Call of Duty: WWII, see Panzermörder.
The Jägermörder are elite Waffen-SS soldiers featured in Call of Duty: Vanguard.
Overview[]
Jägermörder wear dark green greatcoats, black steel helmets, and white hood masks that conceal their faces. They are equipped with heavy armor and can withstand a significant amount of damage, having roughly half the durability of a Juggernaut from the Modern Warfare series. Their helmets protect them from headshots but can be shot off after several bullet hits. Despite their armor they retain high mobility and also make heavy usage of smoke grenades to conceal their advancement or to retreat and reposition after taking damage. They are equipped with either MG 42 machine guns, or G 43 marksman rifles equipped with ZF41 7.0x telescopic sights paired with Einhorn Revolving shotguns as secondary close-range weapons.
Campaign[]
The Jägermörder are present during the mission Lady Nightingale, serving as bodyguards of General Leo Steiner during the Battle of Stalingrad. Three of them are fought throughout the mission; one machinegunner midway through the mission, and two snipers amongst the soldiers defending General Steiner inside the department store. A Jägermörder sniper also gravely wounds Misha Petrov in a cutscene, ultimately leading to his death. Another Jägermörder attacks Polina Petrova in a later cutscene, throwing her down two stories through some loose floorboards then attempting to drop a cabinet onto her from above.
Jägermörder also appear in the final mission The Fourth Reich to stop the Task Force Vanguard from apprehending Hermann Freisinger. Polina recognizes them from Stalingrad based on their usage of smoke grenades as tactical cover. One machinegunner attacks in the subway, and a pair of them (one machinegunner and one sniper) serve as Freisinger's final line of defense in the airport hangar before Task Force Vanguard finally apprehends him.
Zombies[]
Several Jägermörders are also part of the SS unit Die Wahrheit under the command of Oberführer Wolfram Von List and can be seen in the intro cinematic of Der Anfang.
