The subject of this article appeared in Call of Duty: Black Ops.

jmccone is the user account of John A. McCone, Director of Central Intelligence from 1961-1965 on the Central Intelligence Agency Data system which is accessible from the computer terminal in the interrogation room depicted in the main menu of Call of Duty:Black Ops.

Password

The jmccone account uses a non-secure password, based on his college alma mater and graduation year BERKLEY22. Oddly, he appears to have misspelled Berkeley.

Mail

Typing the command MAIL opens McCone's mail account, which contains 4 messages. The first message, Message 0 references MJ-12 (Majestic) and is common across many user accounts.

Message 1 is from President John F. Kennedy and refers to McCone's report on Soviet missile activity in Cuba.

Message 2 is from McGeorge "Mac" Bundy, the National Security Advisor to Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson and regards Kennedy's desire to have Alex Mason take part in Executive Order# 8-5.

Message 3 is from President Lyndon Johnson and refers to nuclear developments in Israel.

Files

Typing the command DIR opens McCone's home directory /home/jmccone/, which contains 49 files - most of which can be found in other user accounts . Each file is viewable by typing the command CAT followed by a filename. EXAMPLE: CAT FOOBAR.TXT
