- " Some soldier I was going to be. "
- — Joe Miller
Joe Miller was a Marine Raider in the 2nd Marine Division, who faced The Empire of Japan during World War II in Call of Duty: World at War: Final Fronts. He is one of the four playable characters in the game. The other members of his squad are Polonsky and Carter, and he serves under Sgt. Roebuck.
Biography
Miller mentions that he joins the Marines rather than be drafted. Miller is first seen at a Marine training camp in North Carolina, along with Roebuck and Polonsky. He then fights the Japanese at Guadacanal, during the final days of the campaign. He then takes part in the attack on Betio, destroying Japanese artillery and taking control of a needed airfield. Miller then fights at Saipan and Mountain Tapocahu. Later, Miller takes part in the bloody Battle of Okininawa, clearing the path to Shrui Castle. Miller's squad then secures Shuri Castle.
Trivia
- Joe Miller is often misconstrued to be C. Miller from Call of Duty: World at War.
- Joe Miller meets Roebuck and Polonsky.
- The last mission Miller takes place in is Shuri Castle, which is very similar to a level in Call of Duty World at War.
