John Rafacz was the Director of Communications and Social Media at Treyarch between 2012 and 2023, overseeing the social media communications of Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Call of Duty: Black Ops III, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and Call of Duty: Vanguard for its Zombies mode.[2].

Prior to 2012, Rafacz was the Global Public Relations Manager for Activision, overseeing the releases of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

In May 2023, John Rafacz left Treyarch joining Respawn Entertainment as the Head of Global Comms for Apex Legends.[3]
