Private Jonathan Shepherd is a playable character who appears in "Glider Crash" in Call of Duty: Roads to Victory. He fights against the Germans in order to regroup with other missing glider teams and find his commanding officer.

Biography[]

Shepherd was part of the 82nd Airborne Division division that was flown to Carentan, France on June 6th, 1944. While flying to their objective, the gliders were shot down, leaving only three of the crew alive, including Shepherd himself. An order was soon given by command to regroup with other soldiers in an occupied town. The three survivors advanced forward, only to be met with heavy German resistance. They eventually fought their way to a church, finding another crashed glider and the remaining crew members. The now near-strength squad moved on to the objective, only to encounter a second group of survivors fighting back against the heavy German resistance. Joining up with them, both squads repelled the Germans, leading to the area becoming clear of enemies.

The soldiers continued on, moving through the crashed glider, and eventually encountered further enemies, now yielding mounted machine guns. After destroying two Half-tracks, the group found a third crashed glider with more survivors. After hearing news of an incoming counter-attack by the Germans, Shepherd then takes control of a Browning .50 cal on a jeep, providing support fire as the Germans launched a counter-attack. Once the Germans resistance had been eliminated, Shepherd and the Allies continue on.
