"There's a legend of a demon who lies in wait at night. Teeth sharp... Claws long... A smile wide and bright. It's strong, and fast, and silent. It's terror on display. Fear not if you are human. Monsters are its prey. But its fearsome reputation is a performance for the world. And demon laughs behind the mask. For she knows... she's just a girl."
Trained by her mother as a fighter, Tae Young donned a mask to conceal her identity while helping families cross the North Korea border to safety. She soon earned a reputation amongst the Korean people as a local folk hero and keeper of justice. Even the briefest glimpse of her Dokkaebi mask instills hope in her people and fear in her enemies.

Trivia[]
Tae Young's hobbies include watching theater and practicing hapkido.
Tae Young is left-handed.
When equipped with her "Dark Arrival" skin, Tae Young's hair will stand still and clip through her shoulders in her select animation. On top of this, looking through the eyeholes on said skin reveals that she does not have facial animations.
Unlike other operators, Tae Young's "Dance of Death" and "A Woman's Intuition" Highlight Intros do not feature her using her favorite weapon, the H4 Blixen. Instead, she uses an STG-44.
Tae Young's "Hapkido" finishing move, once unlocked, became universal for every Vanguard operator in Warzone, despite being her exclusive finishing move in Vanguard. This was patched in the Season Four Reloaded update on July 27, 2022.
A skin called "Loyal Samoyed" was originally going to be released during Season Four for Tae Young, but after artist Sail Lin accused Activision and its companies of stealing their art the skin was removed from Vanguard and Warzone.[1][2][3]
