"A roughly-symmetrical training range warehouse with each player starting behind an L-shaped defensive structure made from sections of wood subfloor. Along the perimeter are two connected metal shipping containers (with “Shoot House” sprayed on each one), offering protection, but no clear line of sight. The center of the map is a half-constructed plywood stage with stairs at each end, crates to climb, and a concrete base with three small tunnels to traverse. The flag spawns in the center tunnel."

Trivia[]

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare[]

  • A night version of this map, unused in the final game, was shown in a pre-release Nvidia RTX demonstration.
    • Furthermore, when in a lobby for a Gunfight Tournament, the available map is listed as "King (Day)".
  • Some cargo containers have 'Shoot House' sprayed on them.
  • In some of Trial game modes, a similar setting is used except the player is stationed behind a wall with a wide arch in the center for aiming and shooting through.
    • A large hangar door is found in such versions of the map. When the doors open, players can spot a white building and the Union Jack flag hoisted near to it.
      • This is a reference to the hangar where Soap meets Price at Credenhill, UK in the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare mission F.N.G..
        • The player can hear ambient sounds like guns being fired and helicopters flying by, as if training is going on and helicopters are leaving for insertion.
  • The name of the map is as such because of its "King of the Hill" design.
  • If viewed correctly, the minimap of King features parts of the map Hackney Yard. This isn't seen when the map is viewed out-of-bounds.
