Biography[]
Klepto was raised in a very strict Egyptian-American family in New York where she was expected to live a traditional life in accordance with her parents wishes. But Jamila was anything but traditional. A tech-hungry gearhead, she was breaking apart computers at the age of then, then building ones herself from spare parts at the age of eleven. She taught herself coding at an early age as well and became her cohort's primary "hacker" who would earn money on the side changing her friend's grades in the school computer system. As soon as she was old enough, she left her family home and struck out on her own, paying her own way through college by taking well-paid freelance coding gigs, and once she graduated, she took a position in the NSA's data security division (where she would develop a lifelong rivalry with Darkwave), but did not last: her ethical sensibilities clashing with the NSA's mission. When La Sous Terre came calling, Jamila quickly took the job, rising through the ranks to become the LST's main IT/Data Security specialist. Relocating to France, she made fast friends with another transplant: Girasol Hernandez, herself a rising star in LST.
