Boatswains Mate Third Class Kraer was a member of the U.S. Navy who abandoned his damaged and possibly sinking vessel during a surprise attack by Japanese PT Boats and A6M Zero. He can either be rescued by Petty Officer Locke, or he can be killed by enemy fire while swimming. If rescued, he will get into a bunk in the crew quarters in Locke's PBY Catalina.
