- "An utterly terrifying, murderous operative, completely dedicated to The Dark Covenant. He has been described as brutal, ruthless, and unhinged. Little is known about his past, probably because he eliminated anyone from it. Known to toy with his victims and bask in their terror. He's a vicious snake, kept in a cage until there's someone that needs to be taken out. And he wouldn't have it any other way."

Biography[]
Not much is known about Kryptis other than the fact that he is a member of the Dark Covenant alongside Artery, Dark Shepherd, Witch Doctor & Stansfield. He later joins the fight with Templar & Dame in betraying Rorke, killing off his mercenaries with ease.
Later in Blackout, when Templar betrays them after Dame refuses to let his daughter go, he kills Dame & goads the rest of the Covenant into fighting him. Kryptis shoots him, but ends up being impaled by his throwing knives.
When Simon "Ghost" Riley and Templar team up to hunt the remaining members of The Dark Covenant, Kryptis attempts to escape on a motorcycle but crashes when Templar throws a knife into the front wheel. Now cornered with his gun out of reach, he swears that he will not betray the rest of the group, to which Templar says he will.
Kryptis is not seen again until the Season 6:To the Skies comics, where he, along with Nyx meet with Makarov, Sophia and Wraith. Wraith expresses surprise that Kryptis is still alive & Sophia notes how her father (Templar) would be pissed if he realized Kryptis was not dead. Later on, while Makarov has a meeting with an Ortelius representative, Kryptis taunts Sophia about wearing her father’s mask on her belt as an emblem of his failures. Sophia rebukes by saying that it’s a reminder on how masks don’t stop bullets, to which Kryptis simply laughs it off saying she is really her father’s daughter.
Moments later, when Nyx receives radio chatter about Zurich being compromised, Kryptis is suddenly attacked by Sophia and Wraith, though he recovers from the attack and incapacitates Wraith after Nyx defeats Sophia. Nyx orders him to get to Vachon, which he does by bursting into the room he is in with Makarov, but is ordered to stand down after Vachon (actually a Zurich resident named Cedric Montpierre) reveals that Makarov has his family hostage.
Soon after, Kryptis is shown to have allied with Templar's Shadow, joining him in his revolution against Western Imperialism.
Elsewhere, Kryptis among with Templar's Shadow and Stitch's men, watch General Shepherd becoming The President And CEO of The Atlas Corporation in New Vision City on TV screens while doing the speech in the news. Kryptis then tells Templar's Shadow and Stitch's troops that is the signal and tells them to grab their gear and they're leaving.
