Krystal Miller is a character featured in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III Zombies. Miller is the Quartermaster in charge of acquisitions for Operation Deadbolt.
Biography[]
Liberty Falls[]
During her childhood, Krystal Miller was a resident of Liberty Falls, where she lived with her parents and attended school.
On February 18th, 1991, following recess, a fire drill was sounded and Krystal, alongside her classmates, were quickly escorted out of school to evacuate from the town. Krystal, unaware of what was going on, could only follow her parents' order and focus on running. Unfortunately, Krystal's father was attacked by a zombie horde during this sprint and was ultimately left behind by Krystal and her mother, who just kept running. The two of them eventually found a fire escape, but Krystal's mother was quickly swarmed by another zombie horde, leaving Krystal to run away on her own. Three days after the outbreak, a local biker gang, the Steel Mountain Riders, found Krystal holed up inside a Freedom Fried Chicken restaurant, and took her to safety.
On February 23rd, Krystal was interviewed on her traumatic experience by Project Janus Security Chief, John Blanchard. Afterwards, she was adopted by her aunt and uncle.
Operation Deadbolt[]
Sometime after she joined the United States Marine Corps, Krystal Miller would be selected by Central Intelligence Agency SSO Selma Greene for Operation Deadbolt following the Urzikstan outbreak. Despite selection for the operation, there was concern of her past with the undead threat would affect her work. Though, following a letter sent by Miller herself to Greene, those concerns were put to rest.
Miller would work as the operation’s quartermaster, also creating audio logs to describe the more exotic threats that the strike team would encounter during the operation. It would also be during this operation that she would meet someone else experienced with these kinds of incursions: former Requiem operative Sergei Ravenov. At one point, Ravenov learned from Miller that she experienced the Liberty Falls outbreak, and promised to help her learn the truth behind it, by offering to "connect the dots" based on what she remembered.
Trivia[]
- Miller's rank is listed in the description for the "Treasure Hunter" mission as Corporal. However, in an audio log, she states her rank as "Sergeant".
- Miller states that she hates fried chicken, due to her being holed up in a Freedom Fried Chicken restaurant for several days.
- In Liberty Falls, a child can be heard crying inside the FFC restaurant referencing Miller's story in Operation Deadbolt. However, in the "Steel Mountain Rescue" audio intel, Miller appears to have been rescued the day the outbreak occurred, which contradicts Miller's audio logs.
