President of the United States Leary appears briefly during the subtitles of the opening cutscene of Black Ops in Call of Duty: Black Ops III. He also appears in one of Jaxiplanet's comments in the Data Vault in which it's told that information was leaked about the British Prime Minister, James Forgath, wanting him to help the Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) to spy on the U.S. citizens through electronic devices. GCHQ had been pushing for more access to technology companies in order to gather data and to prevent security breaches, such as a leak of MI5 documents that occurred some time around 2064 that revealed that the UK was conducting operations in the NRC member of Southern Sudan.
