Lev (Russian: Лев) was an Ultranationalist who appears in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 during the campaign mission "No Russian".
Biography
Before the massacre at Zakhaev International Airport, Lev, Kiril, and Vladimir Makarov attempted to kill Yuri in the parking garage supposedly trying to "back-out" of the event. He then assaulted the Zakhaev International Airport with Vladimir Makarov, Alexei Borodin (Joseph Allen), Viktor, and Kiril. He was killed while combating the FSB on the tarmac area. Like his squadmates, he spoke in a forced General American accent and used American military jargon.
Trivia
- When Makarov's team are advancing through the mezzanine in a wide line, Lev will go through the makeup store but not kill anyone inside, instead he will leave them for Makarov and Allen.
- It is possible to kill Lev while fighting the F.S.B without getting killed by Makarov, Kiril or Viktor.
- He sports very patriotic tattoos on his neck, which include the Soviet Hammer and Sickle, a portrait of Stalin, and nesting dolls with bullet holes or spiders in them.
- Lev always fires the first shot in the level "No Russian".
- Rarely, if an FSB soldier gets too close to Lev, a sequence will occur where the soldier knocks Lev to the floor by bashing Lev with his riot shield. Lev will then pull out an M9, when the trooper attempts to grab his MP5K with his shield out of Lev's way, then kills the soldier. This is the only time that Lev will use another weapon besides his M240. This can be seen easiest in the Museum level.
- Lev has a brief appearance in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 in Yuri's flashback. He is the terrorist to the right holding Yuri down.
- The briefing screen for Back on the Grid shows a photo labeled Lev, but is actually a photo of Lev Kravchenko from Call of Duty: Black Ops.
