Private Lewis is a character seen in Call of Duty who was a member of the 82nd Airborne Division and participated in Operation Overlord.
Biography[]
Like many others, he wasn't dropped in the right spot and found his way into Captain Foley's mixed unit and was been tasked with protecting the French village of Ste. Mere-Eglise from a German counter-attack. He is later instructed by Captain Foley to hold down a church with Pvt. Franklin. It is possible for him to die when the player is defending the church from the Germans; in this case, Foley will only say "Franklin, hold the church," knowing that Lewis is already dead. It is also possible for him to die during the last part of the level, when the player is attacking the mortars.
