Locksmith is the Main Quest of Rave in the Redwoods featured in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. It requires players to obtain the second piece of the Soul Key. It can be achieved in solo or co-op.

Prerequisites[]

Before the player can begin the easter egg, they must:

  • Turn on the Power.
  • Build the Boat Engine.
  • Fix the Projector on Turtle Island.

Step 0: Meeting The Co-star[]

Before the cast can even start the Easter Egg, Turtle Island must be accessed which requires three parts of a boat engine and the power to be turned on. The boat engine parts are located in:

  • Bear Lodge's Mess Hall, located under the noose in the center of the room, by the trash bin.
  • Recreation Area of the "Pushin' Up Daisies" rave, within the main rave area by the keg stall.
  • Bear Lodge, top floor, Accessible after turning on the power, within the bunk room under the broken mirror with the painted smiley face.

With all of them, the boat that's located at White Tail Beach, by Reaver spawn, can be utilised to travel to Turtle Island.

Step 1: Recovering Memories[]

With the boat repaired, the cabin on Turtle Island can be accessed with it housing Kevin Smith who will quite bluntly state that he will not leave his perch in cabin until a way to leave Rave in the Redwoods. With that, a part of a torn photograph will spawn in the Recreation Area, behind the Zombie effigy and opposite of the Karma-45. Picking it up will show that the face has been entirely scratched out, however the Actors will state that it could be the key to help Kevin out.

The picture can be placed in the Thunderbird Amphitheater, inbetween the damaged tree and tents, causing a ritual to occur and forcing everyone into an infinite Rave mode. Within this, zombies will infinitely spawn until the arms of 10 zombies have been shot off near the site of the picture, which in itself is encircled by arms coming from the ground. Doing so will cause all the arms to disappear into the picture and allowing it to be picked up. But doing so will cause the Slasher to spawn in, regardless of the Scene count and forces everyone out of Rave mode, including the Slasher. However whilst outside of Rave mode, the Slasher can be killed with conventional weapon fire and is required to pick up the picture. Killing the Slasher also drops a Max Ammo power-up alongside causing a Nuke power-up to instantly activate. Picking up the picture show it to be that of Jason Mewes. Taking this to Kevin will help him trust the Actors but he still wishes for it to be complete, as it might help him locate where his friend is.

The second half of the torn picture will now spawn in the Bunk Room of the Bear Cabin, close to the Tuff 'Nuff machine and the Volk. Picking it up will showcase that once more, the face has been scratched out. This torn part can be taken to the Recreation Area and placed in the middle of the rave area, once more starting up ritual. This one requiring at least 10 crawling zombies to be killed near the picture. Doing so will cause it to be interactable which will once more, cause the Slasher to spawn in. Killing him once again will allow the picture to be picked up and showcase that the photo is that of Kevin, with a memory of Jason playing stating the annoyance of Willard Wyler had at them for "ruining the legacy of his movies". Taking this part of the photo to Kevin will cause him to once more thank the Actors but giving them one final task. That is to find Jason.

Within the basement of the Bear Cabin, near the exit out to the Old Marvin Mine, there is a crumpled skeleton that can now be interacted with, which will take the skull of it. This skull can be taken to White Tail Beach to start the final ritual, which is getting headshot kills near the skull. Doing so and attempting to pick up the skull will once more spawn the Slasher. Killing him and picking up the skull will cause Kevin to disappear from the Turtle Island cabin but will cause a button in the basement of the Bear Cabin to become interactable.

If a ritual is left incompleted due to a death, a Nuke power-up will go off and all players will be forced out of Rave mode with the ritual site being interactable once more.

Step 2: The Twist[]

Pressing the button in the Bear Cabin will visually do nothing, however Kevin will now be on the boat that heads to Turtle Island. Attempting to ride it now will cause Kevin to break down, remembering that he was the one that killed Jason. This revelation causing him to tumble out of the boat and into the lake, causing him to transform and reveal himself to be the Slasher, destroying the boat in the process of doing so, stranding all the Actors on Turtle Island.

Once more, Rave Mode will be forced on, showcasing glowing orbs around the island, killing zombies near them will cause them to rise into the sky and emitting beams similar to the Magic Wheel. Once all of the orbs are filled, a circle will spawn on the beach. The player must lure the massive Slasher into it. Once he's in the circle, a spot on him will glow, where the players must shoot until it causes the player to exit Rave Mode. Here, several glowing spots will appear on the Slasher. The player must shoot all of them until the Slasher retreats to the roof of the cabin. Here, a few green circles will appear, and the player must quickly enter one of them before the entire area is engulfed in flames. The player must survive in the circle against skeletons until the player is automatically put back into Rave Mode.

Here, the player must repeat the process twice until the player reaches the part with the green circles the third time. Instead of the Slasher summoning fire, he will try to attack the player. The player is now able to shoot at him. Keeping shooting the Slasher until he is killed. After he vanishes into the ground, the second piece of the Soul Key will appear where he was killed. Picking it up will trigger the end cutscene and unlock the achievement, as well as the ability to play a Kevin Smith. In addition, the Smiley chainsaw can be now obtained from the basement of the cabin.
